Bridge 38 just carries a footpath over. The railway line is very close to the canal here and you can see the footbridge that carries the footpath over the railway lines.

Bridge No 38 [Grand Junction] is a minor waterways place on the Grand Union Canal (Grand Junction Canal - Main Line) between Gayton Junction (Junction with Grand Union Northampton Branch) (3 miles and ¾ furlongs to the east) and Heyford Wharf Bridge No 32 (Nether Heyford village half a mile northeast. Many moored boats in this area) (1 mile and 7 furlongs to the northwest).

The nearest place in the direction of Gayton Junction is Bridge No 40 (Downs Lane Bridge); 1 furlong away.

The nearest place in the direction of Heyford Wharf Bridge No 32 is Bugbooke Valley Cattle Creep (The odd thing about these aqueducts is on the North side the Stream has the old looking brickwork and the cattle creep has the newer looking dark grey brickwork. On the Southside this is reversed); 1¾ furlongs away.
