School Lane Bridge No 183 is a minor waterways place on the Trent and Mersey Canal (Main Line - Middlewich to Preston Brook) between Middlewich Bridge No 172 (Middlewich Town Centre) (5 miles and 2¾ furlongs and 1 lock to the southeast) and Anderton Lift Junction (Trent and Mersey) (4 miles and 3¾ furlongs to the northwest).
The nearest place in the direction of Middlewich Bridge No 172 is Northwich Bypass Bridge No 182A; ½ furlongs away.
The nearest place in the direction of Anderton Lift Junction (Trent and Mersey) is School Lane Winding Hole; ¼ furlongs away.

The nearest shop is only 2 or 3 minutes walk from the canal.. Cross the bridge on to School Lane North and walk past the houses to the end of the road where you will see a petrol station with a shop attached. There is also a post box by the roadside.

The nearby baker, Frank Roberts, is a very large scale commercial bakery, not a corner shop! If you want to see it, walk the opposite way at the bridge. It's on the far side of the A556 about 300m away . There's a pedestrian subway at the traffic lights.
