Summary0000237: Route calculates over too many days
DescriptionAfter entering number of days for an out and back trip using how far can I travel. Calculate route offers correct number of days and hours but then selecting trip by clicking "plan this trip" and the overnight stops increase.
It appears to be using the total number of days and then adding the part days afterwards.
Steps To Reproducei.e. Braunston Chandlers, out and back, how far, 3 full days at 7 hours each, 5 hours on first part day, 4 hours on last part day from 1st - 6th May
Result - say, Market Harborough - click plan trip and result is over 7 days, each day reduced to 4 hours+ and overnight stops beyond 6th May
Hope this makes sense

I don't get those result - can you post a screenshot or a cut-and-paste of the introduction to the route description (the bit that says "This is calculated based on 5 hours travelling before the first overnight stop, 3 full days travelling and 4 hours travelling on the last day.")

I presume you are setting this via the "route entry wizard", rather than the "route editor" - your description fits this.

It should only go to 5 May anyway.

OTOH, playing round there is rather messy - particularly if using the route editor as the various settings don't work for it: I think I need an intermediate screen to confirm things whatever the outcome of this bug is.

Nick,

Yes it's through the wizard.

Attached is a Word file with 3 screenshots.

The first is the initial result

The second is after clicking Plan this trip on the first result

The third is the overnight stopping places stretching the days.

Many thanks,

Dave

I did a lot of work around furthest place and all the numbers now work. There is, however, a slight oddity in the wording for out-and-back - that will be fixed in the next release.
