Summary0000558: Help with configuring WP plugin
DescriptionCan someone help decipher the instructions for "route page slug"

In
CanalPlan AC plug-in user guide Version 2.0
(April 2012) Stephen J Atty
Section 3.1.4 page 4-5

One of the main features of the CanalPlan plug-in is the “trip blogging” feature which allows you to basically create a cruising log for a trip. To fully enable this feature you need to create a specific page to support this. Once you've created the page enter the slug in here and save the settings. For example if your page is called Trips then the slug would be trips.

It says if the page slug is "trips" you need to make sure that http://blogs.canalplan.org.uk/min ball/trips exists

Now clearly I don't have access to make pages in blogs.canalplan.org.uk
and why Mintball ?

Should this read http://<your website>/<your doc-root>/trips
In which case how does the plugin know the website and doc-root (do I include them in the slug?)

This might be in my case http://ladys-smock.com/trips

What is the code I need to insert is this a raw string on the page (perhaps in a div) that says
{BLOGGEDROUTES}

yes it probably should - as I've already said. Once I've got the rest of the plugin updated I'll update the documentation.

On the general settings page it's correct - if you look towards the bottom of that page you'll see it

The default page is called Routes and it tells you the url you need to have set up with the appropriate tag on it.

You just put {BLOGGEDROUTES} in on the page with anything else you want to put on there. Don't put it in a div as that might do all sorts of odd things as the page basically links back to itself to render individual trips.

So on Mintballs blog the page contains:

{BLOGGEDROUTES}

Older trips on Mintball can be found on the https://mintball.tty.org.uk/older-trips/ page

Holidays on boats before we had Mintball built can be found on the https://mintball.tty.org.uk/before-mintball/ page
