Navigational note for Frankton Locks:Frankton Locks opening times are limited Currently they are 12 noon until 2pm daily, inc. bank holidays, except over the Christmas / New Year periods. Boats must book a passage through the locks with C&RT by telephone. Contact telephone numbers and full details are available on the C&RT Notices and Stoppages web pag - by searching for the Montgomery Canal entries and selecting the seasonal Frankton Locks Opening Times entry. The details include maximum boat numbers per day and stay / return restrictions which are not normally onerous

Thursday 21st March 2019 to Sunday 3rd November 2019
Lock opening times 12 noon until 2pm Monday to Sunday 7 days a week (Including Bank Holidays)
Booking is required for passage through the locks.
Customers can book any day in advance but no later than 10am on the day of passage*
Only boats with a booking will be allowed through the locks.

* Customers are advised there is a maximum of 12 boats down the locks and 12 boats up per day. Booking well in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment.
