The River Ouse : Yorkshire (tidal section - Naburn to Goole) is a tidal river and is part of the River Ouse : Yorkshire (tidal section). It runs for 29 miles and 2½ furlongs through 1 lock from Naburn Lock (where it joins the River Ouse : Yorkshire (non-tidal section)) to Ouse - Aire and Calder Junction (where it joins the River Ouse : Yorkshire (tidal section - Goole to Trent Falls) and the Aire and Calder Navigation (Main Line - Goole to Castleford)).

The maximum dimensions for a boat to be able to travel on the waterway are 150 feet long and 25 feet and 7 inches wide. The maximum headroom is not known. The maximum draught is not known.

It has junctions with the Aire and Calder Navigation (Selby Section) at Selby Junction (River Ouse); with the River Derwent at Ouse - Derwent Junction; with the Aire and Calder Navigation (River Aire) at Asselby Island and with the River Wharfe (tidal section) at Ouse - Wharfe Junction.

As a general guide passage Naburn to Selby/Goole is 2 hours before high-water at Naburn. Passage Selby to Naburn is at or close to start of flood at Selby. Passage time Selby to Goole can be at the start of ebb or high water depending on a number of factors.
